Concepts and institutions of property and its modes of acquisition (except succession) based on the Constitution, the Civil Code, and special laws; includes the laws on intellectual property, lease and donation.

This is a course on property, its institutions, and certain modes of acquisition thereof, in Philippine law.

This course integrates property law with succession and remedial law, philosophy, history and economics. Hopefully, in addition to a comprehensive knowledge of the technicalities of property law, the student will gain a deeper understanding of the causes of systemic poverty, a desire to help alleviate it, and the know-how to achieve this through insight into the interrelationship between philosophy, law, history and economics.
